I am a big movie fan. With a history in graphic design, as well as photography and video, I have always tried to mimic movie titles, posters and re-create my own versions of scenes from my favourite movies.
This short video is a shout-out to the 1982 Steven Spielberg movie, “Poltergeist”. It’s my own version of a young girl being taken by a spirit using a TV to channel its powers of abduction from the netherworld.
I purchased a vintage 70’s TV for $30 and shot the same scene three times, from three different angles and edited the piece together. All the visual elements were created by me and created in Premiere Pro CC. The TV static audio is recorded from the vintage TV. The remaining audio elements were taken from “Halloween Sounds”.
