I very rarely get to show people the level of work involved in a photoshoot. There is usually more time spent arranging the set and moving lights than there is actually using the camera. It can be physically exhausting but on top of that it is also mentally taxing. Not only am I constantly thinking about the creative process and the what the final image may look like, I am also making sure the set is safe and the model is happy and comfortable.
This timelapse is approximately 90 minutes compacted into a 30 second video. It shows the amount of activity generated very well. There’s a fun part towards the end where you can see the cardboard cutout I created of the TV dimensions so that Ellie could mimic trying to climb out of the TV and know the exact dimensions of the screen.
