There are two sets of images that I would love to create for the movie Residence.
1) Commercial: Character Posters
2) Documentary: Behind the Scenes

1. CHARACTER POSTERS
I would like to photograph every character with a talking role (which could be approx 50 actors?) and produce posters similar to the mockups I created below using characters from Ash v's Evil Dead and A Knight's Tale. (note: I am also a qualified graphic designer). Posters like these would make a fantastic teaser/marketing campaign. Maybe post one image per-day on social media leading up to the release date?
To photograph these images I would need to bring two lights on set (battery powered) and create a little area out of the way for the shoot. We could organise as part of the schedule that each actor gets their photo taken straight after makeup or between scenes etc... Obviously, the priorities of the movie come first, so whatever we can do to organise it would be great.
Each actor would pose in a way that accentuates the characteristics of their character. It could be a particular look, attitude or holding the weapon of choice. If my lights are setup in advance, and the character look we want achieve is pre-planned, I may only need each actor for approx 5-10 minutes.
Some characters could be photographed multiple times. For example, Tim as the vacuum cleaner salesman and Tim as the zombie fighter. Gaffer Tape Man as the GTM and as The Scientist.

2. Documentary (behind the scenes)
As well as creating the commercial posters, I would also love to document the entire process of making the movie. From script readings, to set building and production days. Maybe even post production, sound and editing... This would include photographing the cast and crew at work, as well as capturing more candid portraits of the cast and crew. I would love to be involved with Residence from the early stages, so the cast and crew become familiar with me. This will make for better photographs.
The following link will take you to examples of my BTS photography from a few of short movies I worked on last year.
